Destination ImagiNation, Inc. (DI)
Destination ImagiNation is an educational program that emphasizes creativity, teamwork and problem solving. Student teams solve open-ended, multi-disciplinary challenges and present their solutions at tournaments. Each of the six competitive team challenges has a different educational and creative focus: technical/ mechanical design, scientific exploration/theatre arts, theatre/literature/ fine arts, improvisation, structural/architectural design, and community service. There is also a non-competitive challenge designed for students in second grade and younger that introduces students to teamwork and creative thinking. Teams are tested to think on their feet, work together, and devise original solutions that satisfy the requirements of the Challenges. Students from first grade on can participate. To read more about this year's challenges, click here. NOTE: parent volunteers are needed in order for teams to form and compete!

The program's goals include stimulating an enthusiasm and love for Mathematics, teaching major strategies for problem solving, developing Mathematical flexibility and intuition, and to provide for the satisfaction, joy, and thrill of meeting challenges!
To learn more about the program and check out sample problems, please visit the website. Again, we are hoping for parent volunteers to help!
